2024 Sherry Hadley Memorial Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  1. Applicant must be the child of an APSA member in good standing who has been a member at least one year at the time the scholarship application is made.
  2. Applicant may be a high school senior, full-time college student and/or accredited trade school student.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

For high school seniors, applicants should follow the requirements below: 

  1. Name of applicant.
  2. Name, relationship and department/agency of qualifying APSA member.
  3. Applicant’s home address, telephone number and email address.
  4. Applicant’s major field of study.
  5. Name of applicant’s high school and college/university/trade school.
  6. Applicant’s current grade point average (state averaging system employed). Use weighted GPA, if applicable.
  7. SAT or ACT score.
  8. Photocopy of the most recent high school transcript (1 file allowed; 1.5mb).
  9. List and description of extracurricular activities (1 file allowed; 1.5mb).
  10. Letter(s) of recommendation (Up to 3 files allowed; 1.5mb each).
  11. Acknowledgement of acceptance from college/university or trade school.
  12. Original essay of no more than 200 words describing why the applicant desires and should be considered for the scholarship (1 file allowed; 1.5mb).
  13. Digital photograph of applicant in JPEG format (1 file allowed; 5mb).
  14. Any other information the applicant believes the committee should consider (1 file allowed; 5mb).
  15. Submission deadline extended to Friday, May 17, 2024.

For full-time college/university and/or accredited trade school students, applicants should follow the requirements below:

  1. Name of applicant.
  2. Name, relationship and department/agency of qualifying APSA member.

  5. Name of applicant’s college/university or trade school.

NOTE: APSA Scholarship applicants are considered for ALL scholarships for which they may be eligible (please do not submit more than one application), with a ranking system utilized to determine the recipient of each. All scholarships are awarded in U.S. dollars. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to receive the same scholarship award. Incomplete submissions may result in disqualification.
