Unmanned Aerial Systems Award Eligibility Criteria & Submission Requirements

This award will recognize an individual or group of individuals whose efforts or actions have promoted and/or furthered the development and/or use of UAS in the performance of public safety aviation missions. Likewise, this award may recognize an individual or agency whose safe and effective use of a UAS resulted in the successful completion of a public safety mission. The efforts or actions may be a single event or span over a period of time, and nominees may or may not be sworn personnel or members of APSA.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  1. The nominator must submit his or her name and be an APSA member in good standing for at least one year at the time the nomination is made.
  2. The nominee(s) may or may not be sworn personnel or a member of APSA.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Description of Nomination, outlining what actions occurred that led to the nomination (No more than three (3) typed pages; 1 file allowed; 1.5mb; .doc or .docx format).
  2. A quality digital photo of the nominee (1 file allowed; 5mb; .jpg format).
  3. Copies of newspaper or magazine articles and videos are also welcome (Up to 3 files allowed; 5mb each).  
  4. Submission deadline extended to Friday, May 17, 2024.
